How to Create Content for Affiliate Marketing : Adding content to your site alone is not enough. What is absolutely essential is that said content represents value. If it does not, then you might as well not bother.

So how do you ensure that the content on your site is top quality and that it is good enough to make

sure visitors want to keep returning and that they will consider buying from you?

How to Write Good – The Anatomy of a Great Blog Post

Your aim is to provide value but what’s also important is that you do this in the shortest time possible. This way, your blog post is even higher value.

Why? Because for a free piece of writing, the only cost to the visitor is time. The amount of time they spend reading your post is time out their day and time they could have spent doing something else.

So if they manage to get all the same value from your blogpost but it takes them half the time to get it, essentially they have gotten twice the value. This is just as though they had purchased a product for half price that provided all the same value as the full-price option.

This is true of all writing and so this should clue you in to the first hallmark of a good writer: brevity. Or rather not brevity so much as efficiency. A good writer will communicate what they need to say as quickly as possible with no need for fancy wording or round-about sentences. If you want to make a sentence better, often the best way to do this is to read through it and to remove the superfluous words.

And this is especially true when it comes to the web in general and digital marketing specifically. In other words: you need to be able to convey your meaning in as few words as possible because people are in a constant rush online and have been taught to have short attention spans. Online, we’re used to getting the information we want immediately and not having to wait around. Things are constantly flashing at us and we rarely spend more than a few moments on a website. Efficiency then is key.

Does that mean that you should be typing in text-speak? Or just keeping everything as brief as possible? Does that mean that there is no benefit to a good vocabulary?

Far from it: because a good vocabulary actually allows you to say more with less. Meanwhile, phrasing your sentences in particular ways – sometimes less direct ways – will sometimes allow you to convey less obvious meaning. For example, choosing one turn of phrase over another might mean that your reader spends a little longer, but if it better describes the scene or better conveys the tone you want your message to carry, then those words were not wasted.

The objective here is not to make your writing as short as possible but to say as much as possible in the most efficient and entertaining manner.

Telling Stories

content marketing

Writing your content in a manner that is efficient is one strategy that is going to help keep your readers on your page and keep them reading. There are others you can use too though and this is where you need to start getting strategic.

One crucial tip is to use storytelling wherever possible and wherever appropriate. Storytelling means that you are making your content much more personal and phrasing it as something that happened to you or to someone you know.

So instead of talking about a technique to earn lots of money, you might instead talk about how you earned lots of money via a certain technique. This subtle shift will make anything you write about considerably more engaging – to the point that it has often been described as ‘SEO for the human brain’.

Storytelling is powerful because the brain has evolved to respond well to stories. Stories allow us to imagine ourselves in the storyteller’s shoes which makes whatever is being said much more engaging, emotionally resonant and interesting. What’s more is that we like to hear how stories end: so if you start your story off in an impactful way, you can bet your audience is going to keep reading.

Telling stories will generally mean that your content adopts a more personal tone, which in turn will be more colloquial. This also lends itself well to a personal brand, which we’ll touch on in a moment.

Either way though, make sure that your content is easy to read but that it also matches the tone and the nature of the niche you are writing for. Blog content is best when it is conversational, but only if that doesn’t undermine your authority!

Providing Value

content affiliate marketingWe’ve already discussed the importance of providing value, but let’s just ram this idea home a little further: if you’re going to create any kind of blog post, YouTube video or infographic, then it needs to offer some form of value. Otherwise, you are just wasting everyone’s time!

So what does providing value really mean? Usually, this means that you will be offering information, entertainment, news or education.

How to Create Content for Affiliate Marketing

Whatever the case, it is critical that you do this in a way that is creative and that offers something unique. This is the key word and this is the thing that many bloggers and SEOs forget.

It’s easy to share information in a blog post. You could write about how to do press ups or how to do basic SEO.

But at the end of the day, those posts won’t offer a ton of value. Why? Because we’ve heard it all before. There are countless posts out there that are very similar and that availability drives down your value.

On the other hand, if you can provide something completely new – how about a new form of brain training that will result in greater physical strength, or what about a powerful hack that can save internet marketers money – then you will have something valuable to offer.

Don’t be generic. Don’t be derivative. Offer something completely new and that way you will be able to get people excited to read your blog posts or watch your YouTube videos.

Why Infographics Are Fantastic for Internet Marketers?

If you’re looking for a fresh type of content to use on your own website, or to use for guest posts, then using infographics is a great choice. In this post, we’ll look at the advantages of infographics as well as how you can get the most from them.

What is an Infographic?

An infographic is an image that conveys data and information in a graphical way that you can understand at a glance.

One thing to keep in mind when creating content for the web, is that a lot of pe

ople are in a rush when they’re online and don’t have time to sift through dense paragraphs of information. An infographic is the perfect antidote to this reality then, as it lets people very quickly get the ‘gist’ of what you’re trying to convey at a glance.

Using Social Media Traffic

Infographics are more attractive than simple charts or graphs though and will normally be a

combination of various data visualizations  alongside large typographic quotes, statistics and oth

er data. When combined in this way, these can be very appealing and really draw the viewer in while presenting the data concisely and effectively.

These also make ideal guest posts because they’re unique and not easy to create. When done well they look professional and elevate the site they’re on, which makes them a great bargaining chip.

How to Create an Infographic?

The good news is that there are plenty of tools online that make it very simple and easy to create an Infographic and a lot of them are free. Alternatively, you can simply use some image editing software like Illustrator or even MSPaint if you tidy it up with some effects in PhotoShop afterward.

Consider this next time you’re looking for something new to add to your blog or site!

Why Your Brand is Crucial for Your Content

Good content alone is not enough to build trust and authority however and this is very important to understand.

For content marketing to work, it is crucial that you have a great website and a good brand. This brand should be represented by a strong logo and it should be driven by a strong mission statement. Your brand should perfectly identify the type of person who should be reading your site (the type of person who will appreciate your content) and it should qualify itself by implicitly stating who shouldn’t visit your site.

In other words, don’t try to appeal to everyone but instead make a focussed effort to build something that will appeal to a certain type of reader. This allows you to offer better value and it means that for the right person, your site is going to be a highly exciting proposition. You want to create a blog

that has its own ethos and principles as this is what will help to create consistency between your posts (so that people know what your site represents) and so that they feel they can get behind your message.

Say you have a health blog, you can be all about the alternative ‘natural’ medicine, or you can be all about the scientifically proven medicine. It’s up to you which you go with but make sure the audience knows what you’re about and make sure you’re consistent. This is what a brand is after all and it is what will allow you to build the trust of a certain type of reader. You can’t please everyone, so don’t try!

Consider creating a personal brand if you are willing to put yourself out there. If you put your name and likeness to your site, then people will feel a little closer to you and they’ll feel like they know you. That in turn creates a lot more trust and means they’ll feel they’re buying from an actual individual rather than a nameless company.

The only downside? You now have to live the lifestyle you’re promoting!

Content Creation, SEO and Leveraging Analytics 0

Content Creation: According to Internet Live Stats, Google now processes over 40,000 search queries every second, which translates to more than 3.5 billion searches every day and 1.2 trillion searches every year, worldwide.

Add to these numbers the number of interactions with social media and mobile applications and ranking higher on the Internet can be downright overwhelming.

The good news is that search engines remain the dominant resource for people to find and cultivate information on the web.

This makes focusing your efforts on organic searches the best way for companies to realize enormous dividends for their websites and blogs.

Whether you’re new to SEO or looking for the most effective strategies to dominate Google, having a basic understanding of search engine optimization techniques along with knowledge of the latest algorithm changes will put you ahead of a majority of those trying to optimize their websites.

The first thing that you need to learn about driving traffic to your website is that all your efforts start from your own backyard. The first rule to building an excellent foundation for website traffic is remarkable content. Being a small business owner, you need to appreciate the immense array of new media tools that you have at your disposal.

Content Creation

Developing Content

The first rule that you need to follow is to diversify your content among as many different media formats as possible. This includes textural, audio, audio-visual, etc. Every business, no matter what they sell, requires a specific set of skills to survive, and ultimately succeed.

Unfortunately, many people shrug off these skills as everyday occurrences, which leads to those more willing to acknowledge their gifts receiving more attention, publicity, and more business through higher web traffic.

To provide the best content to consumers, you need to take the time to isolate your specific skills; those that qualify you to succeed in your chosen profession.

Most small business websites that thrive, do so because they aren’t merely filled with business jargon, but because they are relatable and able to communicate the qualities of a great business through articles, anecdotes, etc. This is the kind of content that the general public can relate to and learn from.

So, in addition to the usual content, you need to make sure that you have a blog on your website that can serve as an educational and exciting target for the perusal of consumers.

Greater public visibility naturally will lead to an increase in traffic and business propositions for you.

As you begin to develop your content, you need to identify different styles of material. Determine what might benefit more from being discussed in short videos, and those that would better serve your business through podcasts or textual articles alone.

Having a greater variation in your content styles will allow your site visitors to gather information depending on their mood. It can also allow you to satiate their need to learn through video or literary outlets at the same time.

Content Creation strategy

Site Analytics

Along with the different styles of content that you will need to decide on, you will also need to keep an eye on your website analytics. These are provided in-house by portals like WordPress or Google analytics. You can complete the easy sign-up process

for Google analytics and start receiving analytical information in three to four days.

The analytics will allow you to identify public favorites among your hosted content and check whether the new video or article has received adequate public approval. This is determined by the amount of time spent on average on that particular article by each audience member.

If the analytics show that they sat through an appropriate amount of time to read it in its entirety, then you’ve done an excellent job with your content. However, if they move on from it after just 30 seconds, you may need to revisit your judgment regarding the style or topic.

Keeping an eye on your analytics, and tweaking your content accordingly, allows you to understand the tastes of your audience better and cater to that taste appropriately so that you can further nurture your growing visitor base.

When your audience is happy, they will refer your website to others around them, which will help to drive more traffic to your site through word-of-mouth. The best way to encourage this is through maintaining high credibility with your existing base.

You also need to keep in mind that you need to post new content on a regular basis. Nothing will dwindle your existing visitor base faster than a stagnant website. People will only invest their time in websites that seem to be developing and growing.

Search Engine Optimization

After you’ve focused on the quality and frequency of the content you develop, the easiest way to bring more traffic from the outside is to build your Search Engine Optimization, (SEO).

The first step in developing SEO is to make sure that you’ve submitted your website links to the various search engine platforms. While not every URL provided will make it onto the search indexes, a majority of them do without any problems.

Completing this first step allows Google’s crawlers to index and display your website within their search results. This can also be done for other search engines like Bing and Yahoo.

Once you’ve submitted your website URL’s for indexing, you need to perform SEO on all of your current content. You will also need to keep this in mind as you move forward.

SEO is basically about allowing the search engine crawlers, or virtual bots, to categorize and classify your site in order of relevance to keywords. The higher the significance of a particular site in response to a specific keyword, the better its chances of appearing higher up on search lists.

Appearing higher on the search engines is vital. This is because all your efforts aren’t necessarily geared towards people who already know about your site and can directly access it by inputting its URL, but rather towards those who aren’t aware of your business and are looking for options based on the keywords in their search query.

SEO has become an extremely competitive field. You have to be able to understand the mind of your customers and create lists of possible keywords that you can use, so your customers can get to the topical content that you’ve provided.

Take some time to look at the content that you’ve already created. Make a list of possible keywords that you would use to get to content like this on the Internet.

The keyword phrases that you determine should be between two to four words long. To help you compile your list faster, use one of the keyword phrases and enter it into the Google search bar. After you hit search, scroll to the bottom of the page. Here you will see roughly eight to ten related searches and keyword phrases.

Take a look at the list and see if it might be able to help you find a few more keyword phrases that you believe are strongly related to your content. Repeat this process several times with different keyword phrases. This will allow you to find a broader range of keywords that are relevant to your content.

After you’ve identified 15 to 20 keywords and keyword phrases, go back through your current content and make sure that the keywords that you’ve determined are present in the content. You will also need to rewrite your title and subtitle to ensure that one of the more distinct keyword phrases is present.

Don’t get too overzealous with inserting keywords and keyword phrases into your articles. They should only account for around 1.5 percent of your total word count. Search engines will automatically lower your rank in the indexes if there is excessive keyword cramming.

You’ll want to add at least three keywords to the title tag of your content, as well as adding the important keyword phrase in the metadata and description of your content.

Again, it is important not to get overzealous and stuff your tagline with errant tags as this will lead to your rank being lowered.

The best way to handle SEO is to identify the best possible search engine key phrases and dedicate a few unique ones to each article or piece of content you create.

You can also use plugins like SEO Search Terms Tagging, which will help you to identify the exact search terms that visitors used to find their way to your site.

If you find that other search terms would be better for bringing customers to your site, then you may want to consider changing the list of keywords that you’ve created.

When it comes deciding on your keywords, avoid using more archaic or abstruse words in the hope of being unique. Your goal is to find the right keywords and phrases that are the most realistic depictions of search engine language that a majority of your visitors would use to find your site.

However, where your ingenuity comes in, is finding ways to express the same set of keywords in different ways. Your challenge is to discover the configuration of words that will help to lead your visitors to your site successfully.

Unfortunately, the problem with SEO is that today’s higher tech-savviness means that using shorter keyword phrases tends to bring up too many results and too much competition.

However, two thirds of all searches are performed using long strings of keywords, so finding the right longer keyword strings can lead to more customers finding your site.
