Choosing the right web host for your personal or business website is one tough decision you will ever make. With all the web hosts out there promising high uptime scores, security, server reliability, friendly support, and unlimited resources, is there a way to cut the jargon and choose the best of all? Often, you will need to pay more to get your desired quality. However, other companies offer relatively cheap but top-notch hosting facilities. Bluehost Hosting is one of them.
Matt Heaton founded 0catch.com, a free hosting company that offered customers limited hosting features. The brand was renamed Bluehost in 2003 before it began offering shared web hosting plans.
Bluehost has earned itself a position on the list of the most popular web hosts. Today, we explore why the web host service could be the best option for you.
What Sets Bluehost Hosting Apart From Other Web Hosts?
Well, apart from being the power behind 2 million+ websites from across the world, Bluehost is a brand that has involved itself in multiple businesses, which explains why it can offer its customers huge discounts on their products.
Apart from offering hosting services, Bluehost has interests in domain name registration, Search Engine Optimization (SEO) services, social media marketing, content creation, graphic design, and business listings.
Their dedication to cater to their customers regardless of the experience level is yet another plus. Bluehost offers great products and services to beginners and established bloggers, e-commerce entrepreneurs, and more.
According to their website, they offer relatively affordable hosting plans, some as cheap as $2.75!

1. Speed and Performance The primary job of any web hosting service is to store your website deliverables and avail them to people whenever they request them. A reliable web host will deliver stored files quickly.
Bluehost Hosting runs the latest versions of MySQL and PHP but they limit the allocated memory for users in the Basic plan. That said, Bluehost scores around average when it comes to website speed and performance.
2. Uptime Bluehost recently improved its server architecture to ensure that users get a pleasant experience on all hosting packages. Its experts work hard to prevent websites from going down whenever hosting issues arise.
Whether you want to run a personal blog or e-commerce website, you would be happy to realize that Bluehost provides top performance servers that suit your needs.
Why would this be important?
Well, shared hosting plans make it easy for many users to share the costs. The good thing with Bluehost hosting is that it maintains the number of users per server at its lowest to ensure that each user gets more resources (over 300,000 file count), fast load speeds, and more uptime!
Usually, more of such benefits are available for users in the Pro plan, which is pricier when compared to shared hosting plans.
Most users have reported 99.99% to 100% uptime since 2018!
3. Cheap Hosting Plans The introductory pricing at Bluehost hosting can be as low as $2.75. When you pay this amount, you get all the resources you need for your website at no extra cost. That includes an SSL certificate, unmetered bandwidth, free 50 Gigabyte SSD storage, and more.
Still, you will face some restrictions if you opt for the cheapest plan. However, you will get value for your money due to Bluehostâs fast loading speeds and consistent uptime.
4. Excellent Security Features While Bluehost is a cheap hosting option, its architecture doesnât cut corners on security features and options. For example, you will be provided with a free SSL certificate no matter the hosting plan you choose. Additionally, you are allowed access to a free CDN!
5. Friendly User Interface Whether you are a total beginner or a pro, Bluehost is a great option for you. To begin with, their portal is just clean and intuitive. Secondly, cPanel is created in a way that makes it easy to navigate. Plus, most of their features such as WordPress plugins are easy to install.
If you donât know how to code a website, you can take advantage of Bluehostâs site builders such as Drupal and Weebly to create your site.
6. Friendly Customer Support For a company with millions of users worldwide, there are times when things go wrong for some users, right? And when that happens, you donât have to feel worried because the support staff at Bluehost is friendly and professional.
Bluehost has adopted a culture of prioritizing the needs of its customers, which explains why the company is trusted by millions of individual users and businesses from across the world.
Apart from the 24/7 live chat feature, Bluehost also has email and phone options if you choose to go that route.
CONS OF USING BLUEHOST HOSTING
1. High Renewal Rates The cheapest Bluehost plan will cost you $2.75 for the first month. Then, you will be expected to renew your hosting for $7.99 per month after the first month.
However, you can get the lowest prices per month if you prepay for one to three years upfront.
If you donât like what you get, you can still seek a refund within 30 days of purchase.
2. Restrictions on the Cheapest Plan As we said earlier, some of Bluehostâs shared plans come with lots of restrictions.
With the cheapest plan, the only security feature you will be offered is a free SSL certificate. Also, the storage space you get is limited and Bluehost wonât allow you to own more than one site.
So, is Bluehost Hosting recommended? Yes. The web host service is steadily improving in service delivery to users.
Also, they have powerful servers that ensure over 99% uptime. You will love their user-friendly apps and affordable hosting plans. Still, Bluehost isnât perfect, so you can still ask for a refund of your money if you donât like what they are offering

How to build an email list with the best email marketing software [Getresponse] : The first thing you absolutely must do if you want to generate leads is to sign up for a service that will allow you to build a database of leads through a web form.
Most people simply use an autoresponder service such as MailChimp, MailerLite, aWeber, or GetResponse, but there are also services that will let you collect, store, manage, and search many different types of information if you need more details from your leads.
If all you need to collect is name and email, which is fine for most online marketing purposes, you can just use a simple autoresponder system.
Here is a list of some of the most popular autoresponder services. Each of these services is widely respected and most have similar features and pricing.
If youâre just getting started, MailChimp and MailerLite have free versions you can use for a while.
If youâre looking to collect more in-depth information, you might want to go with a CRM, or customer relationship management, software. This type of software has in-depth information collection and management, allowing you to build a database of customer information that you can use for marketing purposes.
Agile CRM is one of the most popular and powerful CRM systems out there, and you can start with a FREE account to give it a try. You can have up to 10 users with the trial, and you donât have to enter any credit card information to get started.
Agile will let you set up autoresponder campaigns, perform A/B split testing, segment your lists, and even predict customer behavior in the future!
Best of all, Agile CRM has some of the Brest pricing in the industry, with plans starting at just $8.99 per month after the trial.
Infusionsoft
Infusionsoft is one of the most well-known CRM systems out there. They have a hugely powerful suite of features, including syncing with over 200 other services from Gmail to BigCommerce, Shopify to Woocommerce.
Infusionsoft has extremely powerful analytics, a full-fledged sales pipeline built in, and much more.
The biggest drawback to Infusionsoft is pricing, which starts as $199 and scales upward. Itâs a very powerful software, but the price may be a bit high if youâre just getting started.
Salesforce
Salesforce is another very well-known CRM. They have a huge arsenal of tools available, including
They have plans starting at just $25 per month for lead generation alone, so they are affordable for smaller companies who wonât have a lot of users accessing the software. If you donât need the advanced features, you can make do with the cheapest plan just for generating leads.
Their lead management system lets you keep track of all the stages of customer interaction and transactions.
FreeAgent
FreeAgent is a very affordable CRM system that has a wealth of features, including email tracking, outbound call tracking, sales activity tracking, real-time alerts and updates, mass email send, calendar syncing, and more.
Plans start at just $29 per month, making it a great option for new companies and those who arenât doing enough business to support the price of one of the more expensive options.
Once youâve decided which system youâre going to use and youâve signed up for an account and familiarized yourself with how it works, itâs time to move on to the next stepâthe offer.
Once you have chosen your system and set up your initial campaign, itâs time to think about creating your offer, which many people refer to as your âlead magnetâ. Itâs kind of like fishing, where your leads are the fish, and your lead magnet is the bait that lures them in.
Remember, this offer should appeal directly to your chosen demographic. You canât expect to catch a catfish with a flashy lure meant for bass. While itâs possible, itâs not likely, and youâd stand a much better chance of catching a catfish with something that is known to appeal to themâsuch as chicken livers, or earthworms, or stink bait.
Try to think about what might appeal to your target audience. What would they be interested in learning that they donât already know? What would they be interested in getting a discount on?
Most people create a special report as their lead magnet. Itâs usually 10-20 pages, but may be up to 50 or so, depending on how much you want to say. Longer reports are more appropriate when you have a complex subject and arenât selling information on the topic.
For example, if youâre in real estate and selling houses, you can give away a 50-page guide on how to find the perfect house, including information about stuff like zoning regulations, homeownersâ associations, utilities, road frontage, home inspections, etc.
But if youâre selling a course on SEO, a shorter report, say 20 pages, on a small segment of the topic would be much more appropriate, because you donât want to give away all your information for free.
You can always outsource the creation of your lead magnet, or purchase a high-quality PLR product that you can use. This will save you a lot of time.
If you are in the Internet marketing or B2B (business-to-business) fields, you might be interested in signing up for the Automated List Profits monthly program, which delivers two fully-automated lead generation packages per month and includes a report, squeeze page, and thank you page. All you have to do is paste your opt-in code and upload everything!
You might also consider just offering a hefty discount coupon to leads, especially if you have a product that is in demand in your niche. This is especially useful if you have a recurring business model or a sales funnel with upsells that will allow you to use the initial sale as a loss leader and make more money on the back end later.
Once you have your lead magnet ready, be sure to add a link to it to your autoresponder service as a follow-up after people opt-in. You donât want to have to send all those freebies out manually!
Check your autoresponderâs help files to find out how to set up a follow-up email that contains a link to your lead magnet. The process will be slightly different for each service, but itâs not difficult. Itâs about as easy as sending an email.
Then itâs time to create the squeeze page to promote it!
Your squeeze page is your lead generation page. This is a web page created specifically to collect information from people and once they do, your autoresponder will direct them to the page where they can download their freebie.
This page should be relatively short. Itâs not like a long sales letter. People donât need that much convincing when something is free, but they do need some. After all, they donât want to give up their personal contact details unless they really think your lead magnet will benefit them.
For this reason, squeeze pages should have just enough information to entice the reader into taking action. If itâs too long, people will get bored and leave before they opt in!
Generally speaking, a squeeze page should consist of:
Headline â This needs to immediately capture their attention and persuade them to continue reading.
Sub-headline â This provides a little more information and works as your headlineâs supporting agent.
Bullet points â Quick, digestible highlights about how your prospect benefits by subscribing to your newsletter, or entering your funnel.
A call-to-action â A direct prompt that instructs your prospect how to complete the process of signing up for your free offer.
Your lead generation form – usually generated by your autoresponder service or lead generation service with various form fields and a button to submit the information.
Quick Tip: ELIMINATE YOUR WORKLOAD You can sign up to a service that provides monthly lead generation packages that include squeeze pages, high quality content that you can send out to your list, and everything else you need to start collecting leads and building your backend system.
Information to Collect
Most people collect only the name and email address of their leads, but you might need more information than that, depending on your niche market, and whether you wish to further segment your lists and identify potential customers through demographic based data.
The name and address of potential customers is probably enough information for general marketing purposes, but what if youâre selling a higher-end product or service like real estate or legal services, or something that requires one-on-one contact like coaching, youâll want to begin collecting as much information as possible to help you better connect with potential customers.
In cases like this, itâs probably a better idea to ask for name, address, telephone number, and email. You might even need additional information, such as date of birth (if youâre selling something for adults only, for example) or even more detailed information, such as the breed of dog they own, or their income. You donât want to ask for too much informationâwhich will just cause people to get frustrated and leave without filling out your formâbut you want to get just enough information to make sure theyâre qualified.
In other words, what information do you really need to know upfront, and what can you gather later in the selling process?
Once your squeeze page is set up, and youâve added the lead magnet to your autoresponder service, itâs time to start sending traffic to your squeeze page!
Step Four: Traffic
The three previous steps were pretty easy. Even if you create your own lead magnet from scratch, and you need time to learn how to use your autoresponder or CRM, you can complete the other three steps in a few days at most.
You might think traffic is the hardest part, but itâs actually a lot simpler than you think to get traffic! Weâre going to take a look at a few of the best strategies for getting traffic, both free and paid.
As far as free traffic goes, thereâs only one method thatâs quick enough to generate traffic starting today, doesnât have a hefty learning curve, and provides quality traffic that can convert: social media.
Keep in mind that certain markets are more inclined to use certain social networks than others, so itâs important to locate your market and be certain youâre focusing most of your time and energy on those locations. While you can still use other social networks, most of your effort should be focused on those sites that have a higher concentration of your target demographic.
Weâre going to look at a few of the most popular social networks, and how you can locate your target demographic on each one in order to find out which one(s) you should concentrate on.
Facebook
Locating your target demographic on Facebook is relatively simple. Begin by searching for a topic related to your niche and find pages and groups that fit your niche.
For example, if you are offering a dog walking service, youâd want to search for things like groups for pet owners in your city or state. Find out how many people are in those groups, and how many groups there are. This will give you a rough idea of how many people you can reach on Facebook.
Join these groups and participate in them, making sure you follow their rules. If they donât allow promotions, youâll need to contact the group administrators and ask for permission to advertise your service. Otherwise, you should be able to pipe in if people happen to ask about dog walking services.
You can also start your own group, which is your best option. This will give you a source of traffic you can turn into leads anytime.
You should also start a Facebook page for your business, and you can even include a link to your squeeze page on your Facebook page.
Pinterest
Pinterest is like an online corkboard. You can have multiple âboardsâ, and then pin images with links, sort of like bookmarking a page.
You can find out how popular your niche is on Pinterest by performing a search, and then clicking âBoardsâ to find out how many people have boards related to your niche AND how many followers those boards have.
You can also search pins for the niche and see how many repins each one has. This will let you know how interested people are.
Pinterest has a huge amount of traffic, and itâs relatively easy to access just by following accounts that have some connection to your niche and pinning content related to your niche and using keywords in your board names and descriptions.
Youâll need to have some interesting content to pin, so itâs a good idea to have a blog or website that you use to post content related to your field. For example, you could have a dog care blog for your dog walking service and post useful information for pet owners.
One important thing to note is that Pinterest is heavily imaged-based, so youâll need good images to pin that relate to your article.
For example, if youâve posted an article called â5 Tips for Housebreaking Your Puppyâ, youâd want to include a photo of a dog being trained, or something related to housebreaking a puppy, and have the title of your article on the image.
If you take a look at Pinterest, youâll see that most images are taller than they are wide. Thatâs because they take up the most screen real estate since images are constrained by width, but have much more space to expand lengthwise. Thus, try to make sure your images follow the same format.
Instagram
Instagram is a great platform for visual content, and you can get a lot of traffic from it, especially if your business is related to fashion, beauty, art, lifestyle, food and cooking, crafts, or other topics that are popular.
You can get a good indication of whatâs popular on Instagram by opening the app and clicking the search icon, searching for a term related to your niche, and then clicking âTagsâ. This will show you how many posts are currently on the site using that phrase, as well as lots of related phrases.
For example, when I search for âdogsâ, I see millions of posts with such hashtags as #dogsofinstagram, #dogs, #dogstagram, and #dogsitting.
You can also click the âPeopleâ tab and click some of the top profiles to see how many followers they have. This is another good indicator of interest in your topic.
There are three important steps to getting traffic from Instagram:
1. Fill out your profile and include a link to your website or squeeze page there. Make sure to choose an interesting photo of either yourself or something related to your niche for your profile picture. And include that link because you canât include links in the descriptions of your individual posts! (Just tell people to check your profile for a link.)
2. Post often. Instagram posts scroll by and are gone quickly if someone is following a lot of profiles, so the best way to get seen is to post as often as possible. Donât spam! Just a few posts a day is fine, but spread them out every few hours. And donât forget to add at least 5 relevant hashtags to every post!
3. Follow people who are related to your niche. Many will follow you back, and others will find and follow you from those peopleâs profiles. Itâs a good idea to follow at least 20 new accounts each day, which you can find easily through the search function and referrals from other people. Stick mostly to following accounts related to your niche, because you want qualified leads, not just a high follower count!
Other Social Networks
There are other social networks that can be effective, too, depending on your market. I suggest giving each of these a try to see how they do for your particular market, but you might want to concentrate your efforts on the other sites weâve talked about earlier in this chapter.
Paid Traffic
I donât recommend using paid ads until youâve thrown a good amount of free traffic at your squeeze page for a while and tested conversion rates. If you arenât getting many leads, you may want to make some tweaks to your squeeze page and/or lead magnet to increase those conversions.
Once youâre happy with how your page is converting, you can start sending some paid traffic to it.
Letâs look at some of the most effective paid ad platforms. These are generally the most profitable, but they may not work for all niches equally, so be sure to track your conversions carefully, tweak ads as needed, and kill any ads that arenât performing.
Facebook Ads
Facebook is generally considered one of the best advertising platforms, because ads are typically affordable and convert well. This is mainly because of how well they are able to target ads to the appropriate parties.
Remember when we talked about how important it is to get qualified leads? Facebook is brilliant for that, because they have incredibly advanced targeting options. You can target people based on age, gender, location, marital status⊠just about anything you can think of⊠PLUS, you can target by interests, shopping habits, and so much more.
Sticking with our example of using a local dog walking business, you can target people in your city, or surrounding cities, AND who are dog owners. You can seriously get THAT specific!
When you create your ad, pay attention to the type of ad youâre creating. The regular newsfeed and mobile newsfeed formats are considered the most profitable.
Keep in mind that the price you pay for your ads on Facebook is heavily based on your CTR (click-thru rate), so itâs important to design the most effective ad possible. If you notice an ad has a low CTR, pause the ad and make changes. Keep tweaking until you find the right combination to bring in qualified leads at a low cost.
Facebook has a great guide to help you get started:
Bingâs ad platform isnât nearly as competitive as many others, because they have much less traffic than Google, Facebook, and some other platforms. However, you can still get a lot of traffic at a very low price, because the lower competition means you can actually get more traffic than you could at the more competitive sites because in many instances you could be the only advertiser in a genre.
Bing is a PPC platform just like Google AdWords, so if youâre already familiar with AdWords, you shouldnât have too much trouble.
SEO ranking factors and GOOGLE ranking factors Tutorial for beginners.
Why SEO Matters More Than Ever
If you want to get traffic to your website, itâs important to understand Search Engine Optimization (SEO). Up until about 2015, if you created a blog post with an interesting title and an eye-grabbing picture, you could bet that a lot of people would click on it when they saw it on Facebook.
Since then, however, things have changed dramatically. Facebook realized that they were basically giving free publicity to businesses. So, Facebook started making it much more difficult for businesses to grab peopleâs attention. If a business wanted to get a lot of exposure, they would have to pay for it.
The end result of all this is that itâs now super tough to get as much traffic from social media. You either need to have a massive following or be willing to shell out a fair amount of cash.
This is why SEO matters so much. SEO is the process of optimizing your website (pages, blog posts, and more) for search engines like Google. If you understand it and do it right, you can get a significant amount of traffic from search engines.
The general concept behind SEO is simple, but itâs a little more complicated in practice. There are trillions of web pages and Google has to be able to understand them and give the relevant ones to searchers. One of the primary goals of SEO is to make your website stand out from everything else.
So, how do you make your site stand out in the eyes of Google? Thatâs what this eBook is all about. Weâre going to give you practical, proven SEO strategies that will increase your Google rankings.
How Does Google Work?
To understand SEO, itâs important to have an understanding of how Google works. At the core, Google exists to return the right information to searchers. We trust that, most of the time, it will return information relevant to our searches.
In order to make users happy, Google is always trying to find the best, most relevant information for a given search. But how does it determine which web pages are the best and most relevant?
The Google algorithm uses over 200 different factors when evaluating pages. These factors help Google determine which pages to return in search results. You enter a search term and Google evaluates millions of pages by their ranking factors to find the results that best match your search.
As you would expect, not all the ranking factors are equal. Google hasnât made it 100% clear which ones are the most important, but there seems to be a fair amount of agreement around a few:
Search intent
Backlinks
Page speed
User experience
Content freshness, depth, and accuracy
Site authority
Security
Mobile friendliness
Structured data
Optimized for voice search
Weâll go into much greater detail about each of these factors. If you want to succeed with SEO, focus on the factors listed above. Weâll explore each of the factors and what they mean for your website in particular.
SEO Factor #1: Search Intent
Behind every search there is intent. In other words, when you type a search into Google, youâre looking for something specific. Google always seeks to return results that most closely match what youâre looking for. Pages that closely match the search intent will rank much higher than those that donât.
If you want to get search traffic to your website, you must optimize your pages for search intent. In other words, you want them to contain the information that people are searching for. So how do you optimize your pages for search intent?
Keyword research is the process of finding relevant keywords and phrases that have a high monthly search volume and then including those words and phrases throughout a page. When you include relevant keywords in your content, it helps Google understand the content more effectively.
There are a number of tools that can help you find relevant, high-volume keywords and phrases:
Ubersuggest
Ahrefs
SEMRush
Long Tail Pro
There are several relatively simple ways you can find the best keywords for your page. First, you can directly enter words and phrases to see what the monthly search volume is. Your goal is to find keywords that have a relatively high search volume and relatively low levels of competition.
Another way to find relevant keywords is to look at your competitors to see what terms they are already ranking for. Seeing the terms your competitors rank for can help you determine the keywords you want to go after. Again, look for relatively high-volume, low-competition keywords.
Once youâve identified a number of relevant keywords and phrases, sprinkle them appropriately and naturally throughout your page. Try to include your primary keyword:
In the page title
Within the first 100 words
In a subheading
Naturally sprinkled throughout the body
SEO Factor #2: Backlinks
When a website links to your website, that is a backlink. Generally speaking, the more backlinks a page has, the more authoritative and trustworthy it is. Authoritative pages are shown higher in search results.
When Google sees that a page has a lot of backlinks, itâs a signal to them that a lot of people value the page and that the content on it is good. Pages with lots of backlinks tend to show up much higher in search results because they are more authoritative and trustworthy in the eyes of Google.
The implication of all this is that if you want your pages to rank in search results, youâll want to get backlinks to those pages. So how do you do that?
The starting place for getting backlinks is creating outstanding content on your website. Give others a good reason to link to your pages. Create valuable content that people actually want to link to.
What makes content valuable? Great content always checks at least one of the following boxes:
It covers a subject more thoroughly than other pieces.
Itâs authoritative (facts, studies).
Itâs easy to consume (easy to read, well-designed).
Itâs up to date.
At its core, link building is all about finding strategic ways to promote your content. After all, if you want others to link to your content, they need to see it first. There are a number of effective ways to do promotion:
Outreach
Guest post
Appear on podcasts
Find broken links
Find resource pages
Ultimately, almost link building tactics boil down to the same thing: adding value to others. The more value you can add, whether by creating great content, guest posting, or finding broken links, the more likely people are to link back to your site.
SEO Factor #3: Page Speed
Page speed is how fast a page loads in the browser. These days, page speed increasingly matters to Google. If they send searchers to a page that takes a long time to load, those searchers wonât be happy. In light of this, they tend to favor faster pages over slower ones in the search results.
To get a sense of how your site performs in the speed category, use the free Google tool Test My Site. It will analyze your site, tell you how it is performing, and give you specific recommendations for speeding up your website.
In addition to the suggestions made by Test My Site, there are a number of relatively simple things you can do to speed up your web pages:
Compress images. Large images on web pages dramatically increase the time it takes them to load. A very simple way to increase your page speed is to automatically compress all your images.
Implement browser caching. Browser caching saves certain elements of your site, like headers and footers, within visitorsâ browsers so that they donât have to reload every time they visit your site. This can increase your site speed quite a bit.
Minify HTML. When a person visits your site, the HTML code must be loaded into and interpreted by their browser. Decreasing the amount of HTML that must be loaded increases page speed.
Remove unnecessary plugins and scripts. Each time your site loads, the plugins and scripts also must load. A simple way to speed up your website is to remove any unnecessary plugins and scripts.
Use a content delivery network (CDN). A Content Delivery Network (CDN) puts the files to your website on a large number of servers around the world. The physical proximity of the servers increases the speed at which your pages load.
SEO Factor #4: User Experience
In recent years, Google has started using a machine learning algorithm called RankBrain to determine whether users are satisfied with search results. RankBrain looks at User Experience Signals to determine whether a particular page is satisfying users.
If Google sees people interacting with your site in a positive way, your pages will rank higher in the search results, and youâll get more search traffic. How does Google know if people are having a positive experience with your site? It looks at a number of different things:
Click Through Rate (CTR). CTR is the percentage of people who see your site in the search results and click through to your site. If a page has a high CTR, itâs a signal to Google that the page is important and should be high in the search results. To optimize for CTR:
Start by optimizing your page title. It should be attention-grabbing so that it stands out in the search results.
Optimize your page description, which is the text that shows up under the title. Like your title, it needs to be both clear and compelling.
Optimize the URL of your page. The best way to do this is to make the URL short and include the primary keyword in it.
Dwell Time. Dwell time is how long someone stays on your site after clicking on the search result. If they stay for a long time, itâs a sign to Google that the content on the page is valuable and should be placed higher in the search results. To increase dwell time on your pages:
Create quick, snappy intros. Keep your intros quick, clear, and to the point. Tell people what theyâre going to learn and then move on to the rest.
Create long form content. Longer, more in-depth content tends to perform better than short content.
Make your content easy to read. If youâre going to create longform content, it has to be easy to read.
Embed videos. Embedded videos can be a helpful supplement to text on your pages.
Internal links. Linking to other, highly relevant pages on your website causes people to explore your site more.
SEO Factor #5: Content Freshness, Accuracy, and Depth
If a search is time-sensitive, itâs important that it be fresh and updated. If the information on one of your pages changes somewhat regularly, do your best to keep it up to date. As a general rule, try to update your content whenever there are significant updates to the information itself.
Google does their best to ensure that the information they show in search results is accurate. If Google regularly returned incorrect search results, you wouldnât want to use it. Work hard to fact-check the content you publish. Check verified, trust sources if youâre in doubt about something.
Covering a subject in-depth means that you provide all the information that searchers are looking for. If you donât cover a subject thoroughly, people will come to your site, not find what theyâre looking for, and then bounce to another site. The more you cover, the more relevant your content will be to searchers.
SEO Factor #6: Site Authority
Some websites carry more authority than others. Major news outlets carry more weight than websites run by a single person. When it comes to search results, Google tends to favor high authority websites. What makes a site authoritative?
The first key to authority is backlinks. Sites with a lot of backlinks from a variety of sources are considered to have more authority than sites with a limited number of backlinks.
Another key to authority is topical expertise. Google knows that no one can be an expert in everything. They prefer sites that focus on being an authority in one particular area.
Building the authority of a website is all about momentum. The more extremely authoritative content you create, the more backlinks youâll attract. More backlinks result in your site being more authoritative.
SEO Factor #7: Security and Mobile Friendliness
Google takes the security of its users seriously. They donât want to send people to an unsecure site where data could be breached. If your site isnât secure, you can make it secure using an SSL certificate. If you donât know how to install one of these, your webmaster should be able to help you.
Your site needs to be mobile friendly, meaning that it looks good on a smartphone. One way to see how your site performs on mobile phones is to go to Google Search Console and look at the âMobile Usabilityâ report.
SEO Factor #8: Use Structured Data
Many web pages have text on them that is easy for people to understand but tough for the Google algorithm to make sense of. Structured data is specific code you put on your pages that helps Google understand the content.
If you implement structured data correctly, it may show directly in the search results. For example, have you ever searched for a recipe and seen things like bake time or ratings? Thatâs the result of structured data being implemented.
You can create this type of information with Googleâs Structured Data Markup Helper. You enter the URL of the page you want to edit and then Google will guide you through adding structured data to it.
SEO Factor #9: Optimize for Voice Search
Since the introduction of voice assistants like Siri, Alexa, and Google Home, voice search has exploded. In order to optimize for voice search, think about how most people use it. Itâs almost always done in the form of a question.
The best way to optimize for voice search is include content that can be pulled by Google and given as the answer to a question.
How to Make money on youtube without showing face : Letâs face it⊠we all love YouTube. Weâve spent countless hours watching chubby babies giggle, cats do tricks, and that kid named David chatter after a visit to the dentist.
Perhaps youâve taken your love of YouTube to the next level and started your own YouTube channel. It sounded like a great way to boost your business, right?
The only problem is that making videos is only one part of the process. Then comes the hard part: actually getting people to watch your videos.
If you have ever wished you could figure out the secret to make your YouTube videos a success, I have good news. Iâm about to show you how to take your YouTube channel to a whole new level.
In fact, if you follow these simple step-by-step principles, your YouTube video can on the first page of Google and YouTube within days.
Did you know that YouTube is the second largest search website on the entire Internet? YouTube gets more daily searches than Bing and Yahoo. In fact, there is only one search engine that gets more action.
You probably already guessed it! Thatâs right, itâs Google.
Of course, you may already know that Google actually owns YouTube. Because they are operated by the same folks, you can enjoy some pretty amazing rewards from both if you play your cards right.
But before we get too deep into the relationship between YouTube and Google, letâs get back to the basics and make sure you have a good understanding of how YouTube works and how you can use it to your advantage.
YouTube Is The Future Of Internet Marketing
If you want to know how to optimize your business for the Internet, the key is to stay ahead of the trends. If you can predict the future of Internet marketing, you can beat your competition to a great marketing strategy and enjoy success while they are still figuring out how to catch up.
Thatâs why YouTube is crucial. Video is going to be the future for Internet marketing. Cisco predicts that by 2015, at least 90% of web traffic is going to be video based.
Right now, 60 hours of video is uploaded to YouTube every minute. That means 1 hour of video goes up every second! Obviously, people are crazy about YouTube!
The growing industry of online video is nothing to be laughed at. Sites like Netflix and Hulu are pulling in mass quantities of people too.
Many people are abandoning cable television or expensive satellite programming in favor of watching their favorite shows and movies online.
With that in mind, YouTube marketing is a safe strategy to make sure your website gets ultimate visibility both now and in the future.
Get Going With YouTube NOW
If you think you have time to figure out how YouTube really works, think again. Weâve reached the tipping point where more and more people are going to do video searches and itâs time to cash in on this new wave of technology.
If you put it off, youâre going to be too late. You need YouTube marketing and you need it NOW.
By jumping in and learning the logistics of making YouTube work for you, youâre going to be way ahead of your competition when they finally figure out whatâs happening and try to join the YouTube movement.
Chances are that your competition is still worrying about how to get their website to hit the #1 spot on Google searches. But hereâs the thing⊠you can grab a top spot with an amazing video and you can do it with much less effort or expense.
Remember, Google and YouTube are friends! They work together so you can harness the power of this team and make it work for you.
When you start using YouTube properly, you will see a huge rise in your rankings with Google and it wonât take long. In fact, it could happen almost overnight.
Why is that #1 spot so important? Itâs the key to unlocking thousands of organic searches. When someone does a Google search, research shows that they click on the top result 36% of the time. The second spot gets 12% of clicks and the third gets 9%. From there the numbers drop considerably for each position. If you aren’t on the first page, you might as well not exist these days.
Now if you think you can beat the system by paying for Google AdWords, youâre wrong. Paid results that show above the top search result still only receive around 5% of the clicks. Itâs definitely no substitute for ranking at #1 the good old-fashioned way!
Imagine what it would be like if you could not only rank #1 on Google, but have a video that ranked #1 on YouTube too? You would now control prime real estate on two of the most popular search engines in the world!
So letâs get started…
Unwrapping the Anatomy of YouTube
There are two basic parts of YouTube: channels and pages. If you want to be successful, you have to know the difference.
YouTube works as a secondary website and the channel is your homepage. Each video you make is a secondary webpage.
By adding more videos, you strengthen your channel. You want your channel to be as strong as possible so that your site will rank higher.
So how can you beef up your YouTube channel? Here are a few principles to guide you.
Keep It Relevant
If you want your YouTube channel to have authority in your niche, make sure your videos are relevant. For instance, if your website focuses on dog training, donât post random videos about gardening. If you are working on multiple niches, create a separate channel for each one.
Mixing up a ton of unrelated videos on one channel is a recipe for YouTube disaster. No one is going to know what your channel is about, what purpose it has, or why they should care what you have to say through your videos.
Youâve got to be relevant to build authority. Youâve got to build authority to rank high on Google. So rule #1 is to keep every video relevant.
Video With Purpose
Weâve all stumbled on those videos where someone is rambling about their products with no clear call to action. Itâs painful, isnât it?
Donât be one of those rambling YouTube rookies. Instead, think about the purpose of your videos before you ever make them.
What are your goals for this video? What do you really want to accomplish?
For most of us, the purpose will be to grab new readers for our websites. The video is supposed to be a little sample of the great information your website offers. You want to whet their appetite and guide them to move to the website and buy your products or subscribe to your updates.
Ask For What You Want
Thereâs no need to make it a guessing game for the people who view your YouTube video. Tell theme exactly what you want. You need a CLEAR call to action in every video.
You can do this is a few ways. The easiest method is to mention the link to your website listed in the video description. Ask your viewers to click it and check it out.
Go a step further and mention the awesome benefits they will enjoy by opting in to your list.
When someone visits your website from YouTube, you are already at a clear advantage. These are not blind searchers. They have purposely clicked to your website because they are interested in what you have to offer.
Take the time to track where your traffic is coming from. Your YouTube traffic will convert at much higher rates than organic search traffic. Just check the stats and see for yourself!
Make The Sale
YouTube is not just for giving objective information to viewers. You can actively promote your products and ask people to buy them. There is no reason that you should avoid asking people to buy your merchandise.
In fact, you should make it very clear what people need to do to buy your product. Point out the link that will take the viewer to an order form. Make it easy for them to buy your products and they will buy them more often.
Maximize Your Affiliate Sales With YouTube
For many of you, your online business is based on affiliate marketing. This is a huge industry with unlimited profit potential. Utilizing YouTube is a quick way to add a lot of momentum to your affiliate marketing campaigns.
You can use YouTube in several ways to maximize your affiliate earnings. Here are a few simple ideas.
1. Review The Product
YouTube is the perfect platform to do reviews of the products you are promoting. People tend to believe an affiliate sales pitch when they actually see the person presenting it.
Something about a video feels a lot more authentic than reading a written review. There is always a level of skepticism when you read reviews.
How do you know that the writer REALLY believes in the product? What if one person using many aliases writes all of the reviews online?
These questions are put to rest when you use a video to make reviews. People see you, hear you, and connect with you and the product you are promoting.
2. Show The Product
Itâs really as simple as holding up the product you are promoting. If people are wondering what is really coming inside a kit, they can find out by watching you open it on video.
You can run through your thoughts on it, from packaging to your immediate first impression. Then provide your affiliate link to the product where others can buy it if they are interested.
3. Teach Them How To Use The Product
Training videos are extremely valuable in the eyes of YouTube viewers. Many people do YouTube searches that start with âHow toâŠâ. You can capitalize on this by teaching them how to use the product you are promoting.
For instance, if you are an affiliate marketer for a line of cosmetics, demonstrate how to properly apply them. Give yourself or a friend a makeover on camera, using the products you hope to sell.
People will LOVE the tips you provide and they will also be quick to purchase the cosmetics that give amazing results on the video.
Think about those home shopping networks you see on late night television. This is exactly what they do to sell millions of dollars worth of merchandise every year. They simply show the viewers how to use them and provide a number where they can call and place an order.
When you use YouTube, you do the very same thing. Show the product, demonstrate how to use it, and then point out a link where they can buy the product too.
Master The Art Of Making Videos
By now, you are probably itching to make a video and publish it on YouTube. But before you get started, take a minute and keep reading. Weâre about to get into the âmeatâ of YouTube marketing.
In order to have successful videos, you must follow some simple rules. Here is what you should know.
Timing Is Everything
No one wants to listen to you talk about dog food for 20 minutes. Seriously, donât do it. Even if you are sure you are marketing the BEST organic dog food in the world, donât talk about it for 20 minutes.
People have short attention spans and youâre competing for their attention. They have ads flashing around your video and other relevant videos are listed on the right side. If you donât capture their attention and keep it, they will click away before you ever get a chance to point out that link that is so important.
If possible, keep your videos to around 3 minutes long. If youâre doing an in depth tutorial, it might go a little longer, but you should strive to stay around the 3 minute mark if possible.
When you do have the occasional video that exceeds 3 minutes, make sure you are giving your call to action at 3 minute intervals, in case the viewer loses interest before you get to the end.
Donât worry about sounding redundant. Be very clear in your call to action. Introduce what you want them to know, then tell them the full facts, and then conclude by explaining what youâve just told them in a quick concise way.
Plan Your Video Sequence
Donât start shooting a video without a clear outline to follow. The result will most likely be rambling and it wonât be effective at all.
Instead, plan out the sequence of your video ahead of time. Here is the general outline you should follow.
1. Introduction
During the first few seconds of your video, introduce yourself. This is the moment where you say, âHi, my name is Bob. You can find me online at bobsmith.com.â
This is also a good time to invite them to connect through social media. Mention your Facebook page or invite them to follow you on Twitter.
2. Convince Them To Keep Watching
Right after you introduce yourself, tell them why they need to watch the video and how long itâs going to take. You could say, âIf youâve ever suffered from acne, Iâm about to tell you how I ditched my bad skin and got an amazing complexion in just 2 weeks.â
Then follow up with a disclaimer about how long your video will last. For instance, âIn the next 2 minutes, Iâm going to share my story and tell you about the products that actually worked for me.â
3. Deliver What You Promised
This segment is where you actually present the information you just told them they would receive. Be clear and concise as you explain your product or give your review or tutorial.
This is where you would show the cosmetics you used to ditch the acne and maybe even show them how you apply that night cream to your T-Zone every night.
4. Wrap It Up
Youâve already given them the information you promised, now do a quick recap. It should just be a sentence or two. You could say, âThat is how I conquered acne and got a great complexion in two weeks.â
5. Be The Expert
Now you have set the scene for why you are qualified to give them advice. You are experienced and you know what you are talking about.
Cash in on the authority youâve built by giving them a tidbit of advice. You could just drop a note of encouragement, a quick tip, or a recommendation for a product (affiliate marketers are seeing dollar signs here!).
6. Set The Hook
Youâve dangled the bait, now itâs time to set the hook with a clear call to action. Ask the viewer to visit your website, click on the link to buy the product, or subscribe to your list.
If you miss this step, you wasted it all. Without a clear call to action, your video is pretty much pointless.
7. Give Them Time To Think
Make sure you leave a little dead time at the very end of your video. It can be silence and you can have text reminding them (again) to click the link below to learn more. You could even put several large arrows pointing down, so they know to click the link in the description.
By adding this extra time on the end, you prevent Google from immediately popping up with other suggested videos that could divert the viewerâs attention from your recent call to action.
Here is another variation of a final screen with a clear call to action, reaffirmed.
How To Stage Your Video
Now that you know the basic outline you will follow while making your video, itâs time to look at how to stage your video. There are a few different ways you can approach this.
Headshot Videos
The most common approach to making a video is to use a headshot. The camera is trained on your head and shoulders as you talk to the viewer.
While you might be tempted to go with this set-up, I would encourage you to reconsider. Pretty much everyone is using this approach so your video isnât going to stand out at all.
Plus, letâs just face it. Thereâs nothing too engaging or exciting about staring at a strangerâs face while they talk. You tend to get distracted by their mannerisms, accent, or even their posture.
Thatâs just too much pressure. Unless you are a supermodel or very comfortable speaking in front of a camera, skip the personal headshot and use an animated talking head instead.
This is a great opportunity to develop a character specifically for your brand. People will be more likely to watch a cartoon guy talk for 3 minutes than an ordinary human drone on for the same amount of time.
Think about Geico. They are famous for the little green gecko that shares information about their brand. Everyone knows Geico by the gecko. When you see him, you think of Geico.
You can establish this same kind of presence using an animated talking character of your own.
Screen Capture Videos
Another option is to record your computer screen to illustrate your point. This is extremely effective for doing software demos, product reviews, tutorials and âhow toâ videos.
What’s great about these types of videos is you don’t need a fancy video camera, special lighting, or any formal training to do it.
You simply choose your full screen or a specific region of your screen to record and then start recording. Once you are finished hit stop and then save your video.
You can still follow your basic outline, offering advice and narrating a clear call to action, while showing visually relevant information on your computer screen.
There are several great software programs you can use to record your screen. If you have a PC, check out Camtasia or Snagit. For the Mac users, Screenflow is really excellent. With a screen capture program and your microphone, you can create a stunning video.
PowerPoint Videos
Another option is to create a simple PowerPoint presentation to use as the visual element in the video. If you are using a Mac, Keynote offers the same capabilities.
You show the presentation on the video and narrate as you go. Itâs very easy to combine your voice over with the presentation.
I know what youâre thinking. That is so boring! Truthfully, you are right. The PowerPoint approach isnât the most attractive, but conversions are extremely high with these types of videos, so rest assured they work.
People seem to be mesmerized by the combination of voice and text. It appeals to multiple methods of learning so you appeal to a mass audience.
Some videos with the highest conversions featured nothing more than simple backgrounds and text with a narrator reading the words as they appear.
If you really canât stand to go that simple, check out Prezi. This is PowerPoint on steroids with cool graphics and amazing capabilities. You can create great animations on Prezi that will make your presentation have that âwowâ factor you are hoping for.
Puppet Videos
I know it sounds silly, but puppets do work. Part of it is just because itâs so ridiculous that people canât help but watch it. When they see a suggested video with a puppet, they click it. Wouldnât you?
The PUPPET BREAK-UP video has over 15 MILLION views! Just imagine how many clicks you could get to an affiliate link, CPA offer, etc. if you had that many views.
The Animated Approach
I mentioned this earlier in the headshot section, but animated videos are a really great option. They tend to be noticed right away and people genuinely enjoy them.
I always outsource my animated videos. The only downside is cost. Expect to pay $100 – $300 a minute for quality animation. You can find good outsourcers for these types of videos at oDesk.com and Freelancer.com.
When I hire someone to make an animated video I usually only get a 1 â 2 minute video. The last 2 animated videos I did each cost me $150 for 1 minute and 30 seconds.
Animated videos are a lot of fun and the results are a great video with increased conversions! If you have the budget, they are definitely well worth the cost.
Other Tools You Should Check Out
If you arenât sold on any of those approaches, there are still other options to choose from. Try one of theseâŠ

If you want to add more videos to your YouTube channel, Fiverr is the solution youâve been looking for. Invest a little money and you can have a dozen reviews by different individuals.

Everyone wants to buy products that beautiful women promote, right?
Thatâs one of the unspoken rules of advertising!
My Video Is Done⊠Now What?
After you finish creating your video, itâs time to move on to the next step. Now itâs time to optimize your video and make sure Google loves it.
The main thing you need to know about Google is that quality counts. In the past year, Google has rolled out a steady stream of updates like Panda and Penguin, leaving many webmasters cringing as their rankings dip.
Each of these updates was designed to promote high quality content to the top and get rid of low quality, spammy search results.
Keep this in mind when you are creating your videos. Quality is key. If you have tons of people watching your video and leaving after just a few seconds because itâs so boring, you arenât going to accomplish much with Google.
On the other hand, if people actually watch your entire video, enjoy it, and even comment on it, you are on your way to YouTube stardom.
Here are some other steps you need to take to optimize your videos properly.
1. Use The Keyword In Your Title
Choose your video title carefully. Take time to research your keywords and use them in every possible way. When you save the raw video, save it as your keyword phrase.
For instance, if your keyword is âmake money onlineâ, save your video as âmakemoneyonline.mp4â.
It might seem like an unnecessary step since YouTube doesnât publish the file name, but itâs important. While viewers wonât see it, YouTube does and it makes a difference in how you rank.
Next, create your videoâs title and use the same keyword phrase again. If you want to really rank high, you need to use a secondary keyword in your title too.
I like to use a slight variation of my primary keyword for the secondary keyword. For example, âMake Money Online â Making Money Online Quicklyâ.
It might sound redundant, but YouTube loves it and it will also help you to rank higher.
2. Use The Right Tags
The best strategy for choosing your tags is to copy the competition. Find the most popular videos in your niche and then use the same tags.
If your keyword is âparrot trainingâ, enter that phrase into the YouTube search bar. Then check out the top ranked videos and copy the relevant tags for your video.
These tags are already proven and you know that Google recognizes them as most important for your topic because they are ranking at the top.
3. Write An SEO Friendly Description
When you are creating the text for your description, it should include your link near the beginning. This makes it easy to find.
Donât forget to include http:// so that it becomes a working link! Beyond the link, your description text could really be identical to your script.
Your script should have already contained many of your keywords naturally, which Google loves. Using a variety of related terms results in a higher quality score from Google. This means you rank higher!
The last step to the perfect description happens after you press âPublishâ. Once your video is live, go back and edit your description and add the YouTube link to the video at the very end of the description.
It might seem pointless, but it is actually really important. There are countless software programs, scripts and tools that scrape videos from YouTube every day, so the users can add content to their own websites and blogs.
By adding your YouTube link to your video you gain a valuable backlink each time your video is posted online by somebody else using one of these tools. This will help you rank much faster on Google and YouTube.
Donât Forget To Add Annotations
YouTube gives you another opportunity to cash in on your video viewers by adding simple annotations and captions throughout the video.
I personally only add one annotation to each of my videos and rarely add any captions.
Adding an annotation is very easy to do. Just click âEditâ on the video you want to edit. Then click âAnnotationsâ in the menu bar. Next click âAdd annotationâ and choose Note.
Now just enter your text. I like to use font size 16 with either white or black text. I choose the most appropriate background color based on the colors in the video.
I always start the annotation around 30 seconds into the video and usually I’ll have it remain on the screen until the video ends.
Here’s an example of one of my annotations:
Complete The YouTube SEO Process
By now, you have made an amazing video, uploaded it (with a keyword rich file name!), titled it, tagged it, described it, and linked it. Now itâs time to finish up with off-page SEO.
This is where you start building traffic and the best tool in your arsenal was previously mentioned under video creation methods. Remember that cool new website called Fiverr.com? Well, now itâs time to visit it again to get some SEO work done for you.
Fiverr Provides SEO In A Hurry
If you donât want to wait around for months to see some real traffic to your video, Fiverr can help. In fact, you can often rank on the first page of Google in as little as 24 hours with the help of Fiverr!
There are several experts on Fiverr that know how to rank a YouTube video almost instantly. For $5, an expert will submit your video to all the video sites in Traffic Geyser.
There is one important thing that is VITAL in this step. If you mess this up, youâre wasting your time and money.
Make sure that when the Fiverr expert submits your video, it includes your description along with the link back to your YouTube video, not your YouTube channel or website.
This insures that you are getting relevant, useful backlinks that Google will appreciate, resulting in quickly increased rankings for your video on YouTube.
You can also pay experts on Fiverr to promote your video to social bookmarking sites, get a variety of backlinks including EDU and SEnukeX blasts, increase your video views, and so much more!
There are tons of ways you can use Fiverr to promote your YouTube videos. Donât be afraid to invest $10 – $20 on this step. Itâs well worth it when you rank on the front page of Google and YouTube!
